The Quantum Club is Launched! //

Students from the University of Geneva have recently launched the Quantum Club. Anna Efimova, Eliot Donnadieu, Alexandra Smirnova and Stefano Losito, are the driving force behind this initiative and and the club’s first committee. They are organising events for students addressing diverse topics in quantum.

The Quantum Club has already had talks from GQC member Wolfgang Tittel, and Zurich Quantum Centre researchers Moritz Fontboté Schmidt and Ilya Besedin. Upcoming events include a mix of GQC members and external speakers:

  • 09.11.2023 : Nicolas Brunner, on quantum nonlocality.
  • 16.11.2023 : Louk Rademaker, on quantum materials.
  • 28.11.2023 : Julian Sonner, on quantum gravitation.
  • 15.12.2023 : Renato Renner and Nicolas Gisin on interpretations of quantum mechanics.

The GQC is excited to see this excellent initiative from its students and looks forward to working with them in the future.
