Géraldine Haack Honored by the Sandoz Family Philanthropic Foundation
A researcher in the Physics Section (Faculty of Science), Géraldine Haack is the 2025 recipient of the “ Monique de Meuron – FPFS pour la relève universitaire” Program of the Sandoz Family Philanthropic Foundation. This distinction, awarded in the form of a fellowship, recognizes her project “Non-equilibrium quantum systems, from foundations to quantum technologies.”
Quantum physics around the corner
Behind the goofy title hides a Christmas conference in the purest original style, i.e., a scientific, demonstrative conference for the general public. Quantum physics is everywhere, sometimes we see it and sometimes we don’t. When should we explicitly refer to quantum physics to explain a phenomenon?
