Géraldine Haack Honored by the Sandoz Family Philanthropic Foundation //
A researcher in the Physics Section (Faculty of Science), Géraldine Haack is the 2025 recipient of the “ Monique de Meuron – FPFS pour la relève universitaire” Program of the Sandoz Family Philanthropic Foundation. This distinction, awarded in the form of a fellowship, recognizes her project “Non-equilibrium quantum systems, from foundations to quantum technologies.”
Géraldine Haack is a specialist in quantum thermodynamics and quantum transport in nanoscale devices. After completing her PhD at the University of Geneva and several postdoctoral stays in Berlin and Grenoble, she was awarded a PRIMA grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) for the period 2018–2023. Her research focuses on how quantum coherence effects and quantum correlations can be exploited in non-equilibrium quantum systems, with a view to applications in energy harvesting, heat management, and quantum information processing.
The Sandoz Family Philanthropic Foundation is actively committed to supporting organizations that contribute to the development of a more creative, equitable, and sustainable world.
